About Sydney Vegan Market

Sydney Vegan Market is the flagship plant-based marketplace for New South Wales, run by the community-based charity Vegan NSW and hosting up to 100 vegan stalls at each edition. Rather than sticking to a single address, the market roams between some of Sydney's best open-air venues — most frequently The Entertainment Quarter at Moore Park (nestled between the SCG and Centennial Park), along with outings to Sydney Olympic Park, Parramatta, Chatswood and the Eastern Suburbs. This roaming format means locals across greater Sydney get a market on their doorstep at some point in the year.

The scale sets it apart from most suburban vegan pop-ups. Expect a sprawling outdoor market of artisan food producers, plant-based chefs, cruelty-free cosmetics, sustainable fashion, homewares, coffee roasters and charity stalls. The food line-up rotates with each date but typically covers Mac & cheese, Portuguese tarts, bubble tea, Thai street food, vegan cheesesteaks, arancini, raw desserts, fresh pastries and dairy-free ice cream — the kind of offering that turns curious omnivores into regulars.

Beyond shopping, every market features live music on a solar-powered main stage, free yoga classes, a kids' activities tent and a welcoming dogs-on-leads policy that makes it a true family day out. Entry is always free, so the atmosphere skews more community picnic than commercial expo — expect picnic rugs on the grass, families sprawled under trees and a genuinely unhurried Sunday mood.

Alongside the regular markets, Vegan NSW also runs Sydney Vegan Market Nights, a twilight version at Moore Park during summer, plus larger themed specials like the annual Christmas market which typically features 100+ stalls. For 2026, the organisers have announced that most events are temporarily on hold while they plan a refreshed format — so specific dates are TBA and worth confirming via their Instagram before travelling.
