Vegan Life NGO - Vegan Vibes & Vegan Life Festival

Vegan Life NGO is Greece's most influential vegan non-profit, founded in 2016 and operating year-round from Kallithea to promote veganism through public events, campaigns, and advocacy. The organisation runs two flagship Athens events each year, making it effectively the backbone of the Greek vegan festival calendar, and the 2026 editions bookend spring and autumn with very different atmospheres.

Vegan Vibes returns for its third consecutive year on 7-8 February 2026 at the Kypseli Municipal Market (42 Fokionos Negri, Kypseli - a landmark 1935 interwar modernist market hall). Admission is free, and the event runs roughly 12:00 to 22:00 across both days. Programming is intimate and hands-on: live cooking demonstrations of sweet and savoury vegan dishes, tasting sessions featuring Greek plant-based makers, and talks on sustainable living, animal rights, and environmental protection. A perennial highlight is the vegan flash-tattoo session by Dildo Tattoo Studio, with proceeds donated to Athens animal shelters.

The Vegan Life Festival - the organisation's flagship and the largest vegan event in Greece - returns to Technopolis, City of Athens in October 2026 (specific dates TBA but historically the first weekend of October, following 2024's 5-6 October and 2025's 4-5 October editions). Free admission, drawing 35,000+ visitors over a single weekend in peak years. Programming scales up accordingly: inspiring talks by international speakers, hands-on cooking classes, children's activities, art exhibitions, VR experiences, flash tattoos, a secondhand market, and Greece's largest showcase of vegan products and services - easily 100+ exhibitors across the Technopolis industrial complex in Gazi.

For visitors to Athens, Vegan Vibes offers a relaxed community-scale introduction in February and Vegan Life Festival delivers a full-scale plant-based trade fair and cultural event in October. Both are free and run by the same team, with the February edition particularly accessible for international travellers already in Athens and October being the must-plan-around date for anyone serious about the Mediterranean vegan scene.
