VegFest Brasil

VegFest Brasil is the largest vegan event in Latin America and one of the biggest plant-based gatherings in the Western Hemisphere, organised under the auspices of the Sociedade Vegetariana Brasileira (SVB), Brazil's national vegetarian society, with production by TrioXP. The 2026 edition runs 10-13 December 2026 across four days at São Paulo's massive Expo Center Norte convention complex, which means sprawling halls of vendors, multiple simultaneous stages, and enough scale to genuinely rival European and North American flagship events.

The format splits cleverly into two experiences. A free Fair Pass grants access to the vendor marketplace (100+ vegan exhibitors across food, cosmetics and fashion), the sports arena with free fitness classes and wellness activities, the live cooking shows with celebrated Brazilian and international chefs, and general networking. A paid Congress Pass layers in 40+ hours of lectures from Brazilian and international experts covering health, environmental science, ethics, and plant-based business, plus a participation certificate and an exclusive congress kit.

Programming is exceptionally strong. Past editions have hosted Genesis Butler, Brazilian TV personality Luisa Mel, YouTube creator Nataly Neri, hip-hop icon KL Jay and dozens of doctors, activists, chefs and athletes, making this as much an intellectual summit as a food festival. The cooking shows are a particular highlight, with tasting opportunities and take-home recipes from chefs pushing the edges of Brazilian plant-based cuisine (think vegan moqueca, feijoada, brigadeiros and açaí beyond supermarket grade).

The sports arena is a smart SVB innovation: free classes throughout the event covering yoga, HIIT, martial arts and plant-based nutrition for athletes, positioned as a rebuttal to the tired "where do vegans get protein" narrative. The marketplace itself is where Brazil's explosive plant-based consumer market shows off, local brands you won't find outside South America, from Amazonian superfood startups to vegan Brazilian fashion houses.
