Funky Vegan Festival

Funky Vegan Festival bills itself as "Nederlands #1 vegan event" and after a brief hiatus the festival returns on Sunday, 31 May 2026 at a brand-new venue: Oker015, sitting at the edge of green Westland right on the border of Schipluiden and Delft (Rijksstraatweg 23, 2636 AX). Running from 11:00 to 19:00 CEST, it's a full-day, fully outdoor celebration of plant-based living with a distinct music-festival energy that sets it apart from more trade-show-style vegan expos.

The food scene is the headline. Multiple food trucks and market stands serve an all-vegan menu spanning everything from Dutch-Indonesian fusion and burger-shack classics to Middle Eastern mezze and plant-based desserts. A dedicated bar programme includes vegan cocktails and specialty beers, which, combined with live bands and DJ sets throughout the day, gives the festival its "funky" character. This isn't a sit-and-listen event; expect crowds dancing in the afternoon sun.

Beyond food and music, the programme includes speaker presentations, workshops and clinics on everything from plant-based nutrition and ethical living to sustainable fashion. Vendor stalls sell vegan fashion, shoes, jewellery, cosmetics, makeup and lifestyle accessories, all cruelty-free and curated by the organisers. The vibe is explicitly intergenerational, described as "voor jong en oud" (for young and old), and children under 12 enter free, making this a genuine family day out rather than a 20-something-only scene.

Tickets are sold in advance online, with door sales available at higher prices if the event doesn't sell out. Card and cash are both accepted on site. The venue is partially uncovered, so pack for Dutch late-May weather, sun, light rain and wind are all plausible in the same afternoon. There are no lockers, so travel light.
