Vegan Christmas Market in Gothenburg

The Vegan Christmas Market in Gothenburg fills Kungstorget, a central city square, on Saturday 28 November 2026. Every stall is fully vegan. This is the fourth Christmas edition since the market started in 2023, and it is a separate December-season event from the spring and summer Vegan Market Gothenburg days: same organisers and same community, but a festive edition with its own vendor line-up. In 2026 it is also the last of the four seasonal markets the team runs, so it is the final chance of the year to catch them.

The market is organised by the people behind Papi's Pierogi and Bar Bez Mleczny, two names well known on the local vegan scene, so comfort food is a safe bet. Past markets have typically brought 25 or more vendors, mixing vegan street food, bakes, sweets and warm drinks with gifts from independent makers. A DJ keeps the square lively through the day. Specific stall names for 2026 have not been published yet, so check the organiser's Instagram in the weeks before.

On the practical side, the market runs 11:00-16:00 on the Saturday. Entry is free, and the organisers state that it always will be. It is outdoors on an open city square, so dress for a cold and damp Swedish late November: layers, a hat and waterproof shoes. Dogs are welcome, and the format is relaxed enough for families. Kungstorget sits in the middle of Gothenburg, a short walk from the Brunnsparken tram hub and within walking distance of the central station, so you do not need a car.

Because the market is a one-day Saturday event, it works well as the anchor of a long weekend. Plan the afternoon around the stalls, then spend the evening at one of the city's plant-based restaurants and cafes.
