Cardiff Vegan Christmas Market

The Cardiff Vegan Christmas Market takes over The Angel Hotel on Sunday 29 November 2026, right on Castle Street opposite Cardiff Castle. It is a fully vegan, indoor market in the middle of the Welsh capital, which makes it an easy add-on to a day of Christmas shopping in the city centre. It falls on the first Advent Sunday, so it is a good way to start the season with a proper plant-based gift hunt.

Expect around 50 exhibitors under one roof. The Vegan Christmas Market Co runs three markets in the region and keeps the formula the same: vegan food and drink, gifts, crafts, cruelty-free beauty and stalls from small independent businesses. The organiser has offered free stalls to charities since 2017 and has donated over GBP 10,000 to good causes, and the FARS animal sanctuary attends all three of its markets, so there is a chance to meet the people behind a rescue and pick up a gift that supports it.

For the practical side, the market is open 10:00 to 16:00. Entry is GBP 3 on the door, and under-16s go free with a paying adult. Kids get free craft activities, dogs are welcome, and the venue is fully accessible. Because the hotel is indoors, rain does not matter, which is handy in a city known for it. Cardiff Central station is a short walk from Castle Street, and the castle gives you an obvious landmark to aim for. Bring a tote bag and a bit of cash for the smaller stalls, and arrive early if you want first pick of the food.

If you are planning a vegan Advent trip around the Severn, this is the earliest of the three Vegan Christmas Market Co dates, ahead of Gloucester on 6 December and Bristol on 12 December.
