About VeganaPoli - Festival Vegano ed Ecologista

VeganaPoli is a first-edition vegan and antispeciesist festival unfolding on 16-17 May 2026 inside CANBridge, a green venue on Via Camaldolilli tucked into the Bosco dei Camaldoli - the 147-hectare forested park that crowns the hills above Naples. The festival is organised by Oltre i Confini di Specie ODV, a Campania-based non-profit that works year-round on animal liberation and ecological education.

Rather than competing with Naples' other 2026 vegan gathering (Magnaveg, in April), VeganaPoli stakes out its own identity: a deliberately outdoor, forest-immersed event with a strong political and ecological frame. The programme is built around three pillars - antispeciesism, ethics, and ecology - translated into talks, workshops, and moments of collective reflection under the trees. Plant-based food vendors, independent producers, and activist stalls populate the CANBridge grounds, and the natural setting turns the festival into a hybrid between a country sagra and a movement gathering.

Expect conferences with ethologists, animal rights advocates, and environmental researchers; guided walks through the Camaldoli woods; activities for children that introduce concepts of speciesism and ecology in age-appropriate ways; and communal plant-based meals. Because the organiser specialises in antispeciesist activism, the tone leans educational and values-driven rather than purely gastronomic - a useful counterpoint for visitors who want substance alongside their food.

CANBridge is reached via Via Camaldolilli, near the Eremo dei Camaldoli. The site is above the city, so the festival doubles as a green day-trip for Neapolitans escaping the spring heat. Contact for the organisers is [email protected]. Given this is the debut edition, attendance is expected to be intimate and community-first, making it an ideal festival for anyone who prefers depth over spectacle.
