About SMMMile Vegan Pop Festival

SMMMile Vegan Pop Festival bills itself as "the largest vegan pop festival in the world", and anyone who's wandered through its pop-coloured stages, food truck alleys and DJ tents tucked across Parc de la Villette in north-eastern Paris (75019) will understand why. Produced by the Établissement public du parc et de la Grande Halle de la Villette, SMMMile is part music festival, part food fair, part advocacy village, and it injects a genuinely joyful, non-preachy energy into French vegan activism.

Dates for the 2026 edition are to be announced, but the festival has historically landed in September (with occasional July editions), spanning a two-day weekend at La Villette. Follow @smmmileveganpop on Instagram for the official 2026 date drop.

The music is the heart of the experience. Expect around twenty DJ sets and live concerts programmed across the Grande Halle and the Trabendo venue, plus intimate "discovery tour" performances hidden in the park's secret gardens (advance booking required, and these sell out fast). The line-up leans indie pop, French rap, electronic and singer-songwriter, genuinely competitive programming regardless of the vegan framing.

Around the music, a village of vegan brands, food trucks and advocacy associations offers the culinary and educational side. French plant-based cuisine gets serious attention here, think vegan cheese boards, plant-based pâtisserie, and elevated fusion cooking, alongside round tables and conferences with activists, chefs and scientists discussing plant-based living, climate, and animal welfare. Cooking demonstrations and well-being workshops run throughout each day.

SMMMile is notably family-friendly, with a dedicated kids' programme: gardening, botanical workshops, dance and yoga initiations, "musical naps" for toddlers, and other pre-bookable activities. Historical pricing has been €10 adult / €5 student, with free entry for children under 12 and unemployed visitors, among the most accessible major festivals in Paris.
