Vegan Fam Festival

Vegan Fam Festival is Cyprus' largest free-entry family plant-based event, returning for 2026 on 12-13 September at the Psematismenos Cultural Centre in the village of Psematismenos, Larnaca district. Organised by Events For Thought, the festival has quickly become a cornerstone of the Cypriot vegan and eco-conscious community, and it still costs zero to walk in.

The format blends open-air market and indoor programme. Expect a lively vegan market and street food area with local Cypriot plant-based producers, bakeries, ice-cream makers and eco-homeware brands, plus a rotating line-up of cooking exhibitions and inspiring talks in the Cultural Centre's main hall. Wellness sessions (yoga, breathwork, mindfulness) run throughout both afternoons, and there's a dedicated kids' corner that makes this one of the few Mediterranean vegan festivals designed for multigenerational visits from the ground up.

Live music anchors the evenings as temperatures cool, so the festival effectively shifts from family-market mode in the afternoon to a relaxed garden-festival vibe after sunset. Hours run from 14:00 to 23:00 on both days, which is smart Mediterranean scheduling: it sidesteps the harsh September midday heat and leans into Cyprus's long, warm evenings.

The venue itself is part of the appeal. The Psematismenos Cultural Centre sits in a small, traditional village inland from the south coast, about 40 minutes from Larnaca International Airport and 45 minutes from Limassol. Stone architecture, olive trees and village-square atmosphere give the event a meaningfully different feel from convention-hall festivals elsewhere in Europe.
